Kinemac 2 is the latest version of the famous 3D Real Time Animation Software for macOS. It allows you to create your own professional 3D and 2D animations with the utmost simplicity. Take a look at the stunning 4k movies created with Kinemac.

Kinemac 2 is a Universal 64 bits application natively running on both Intel and Apple M1. It uses great technologies as AVFoundation to manage your video and audio files and to smoothly export your animations to a movie file. The app comes with a new look and feel, new icons and GUI, and it's tuned up to run on macOS Catalina, Big Sur, Retina displays, in light and dark mode.

Kinemac is easy and intuitive. Just drag your images, texts, movies, songs, vectorial logo and 3D models onto the Kinemac stage and get them within your animation. You can further quickly use the built-in objects as cubes, cylinders, spheres, tubes, pies, rectangles, disks, 2D and 3D Text and animate your actors with a pair of keyframes.

Timeline
Kinemac lets you control the timing of the objects through a Sprites console. Each object is represented by a sprite channel in a hierarchical table so you can establish the starting point and the duration of an object simply dragging and resizing its sprite along the channel. This way you can synchronize the movement of an object with another object and with the soundtrack(s). Furthermore, the hierarchical table lets you group and animate the objects either independently and together with their group. In addition, the Sprite console lets you create, delete and move the key frames as they were just "Tabs" on a Text Ruler. This system guarantees the utmost freedom at creating, deleting and moving key frames whenever you decide to speed up or slow down a given movement at a given time. To know more
Stage
Kinemac lets you organize your animation on a large Stage window, grouping the Sprites view, the Inspector panel and the compositing view. You can use 1 or 4 views and create additional views to move to a second screen. To know more
Objects
You can quickly create objects like cubes, cylinders, spheres, pies, cones, torus, tubes, rectangles, disks, stars, strips and pipes... extrude or revolve SVG files and import OBJ 3D models. You can apply image and movie textures on any surface and set attributes as color, transparency, reflection, specular and shininess effects. Importing files in Kinemac is as easy as dragging and dropping a file onto the Stage window.

Keyframes
With Kinemac you will animate the objects on the stage by setting key frames. And managing key frames has never been easier as with Kinemac. You can create, modify, copy, paste and delete a single key frame or a group of key frames with the utmost freedom. Any key frame point is represented graphically by an icon on the time-line ruler view such a way you can drag and move it as it was just a TAB marker on a text ruler.
If you want to tune-up each single movement with more accuracy you can count on the powerful animation control system based on Bezier curves. Each movement (e.g. the rotation of the object along the vertical axis) is represented by a Bezier curve which you can edit acting on its control points. This way you can have a full control over the position, rotation, size, speed, acceleration... of any object.
2D Scrolling Text
You can quickly create 2D static or scrolling text (horizontal, vertical, 3D) using any font, color, size, shadows, embedded images... Moreover, you can still animate the 2D text object in the 3D space at your wish, and get effects like flying texts, rotating texts... You can create and edit the 2D text object from scratch with the built–in RTFD text editor or drag and drop an RTF or RTFD file onto the stage window. Then you can set the direction and the speed of the scrolling, as well as the animation of the text object. Set a transparent background then export the animation with the AppleProRes422 codec to preserve the movie transparence so you can overlay your scrolling text over your live broadcast. To know more

3D Text
With Kinemac you can create and animate 3D text using any font, color and size. You can set the transparency and the reflection to any surface of the object and create glass, plastic and metal effects. Also you can apply a texture image or a texture movie onto the surfaces of the object. Then, animate the 3D text at your wish using a couple of keyframes. To know more

Inspector Panel
The Inspector panel lets you define the attributes of the stage and the selected objects. It grants several sub-panels you can select clicking on the icons on the top line: Stage, Geometry, Textures, Object Parameters, Alignments, Static Lights, Scripts, Sprites Library and File Browser.

Stage: on this panel you can set the size of the stage window, the background color and the background image or movie. Also you can set the master volume, the antialias level and the duration of the animation.

Geometry: on this panel (picture here aside) you can set the geometrical values of the selected objects, as positions, rotations, size and other values as the opacity, the volume of the texture movie applied on the surface (if any), the object to link... You can also assign the key frames to a given parameter, e.g. to the Positions and Rotations.

Textures: on this panel you can set the image textures and the movie textures to each face of the selected objects.

Object Parameters: on this panel you can set several attributes specific for the selected object as the smoothness of the surfaces, the radius of a sphere, invert normals, receive lights, display the object as wire frame...

Alignment: on this panel you can align the selected objects in several ways.

Static Lights: on this panel you can set the static lights of the scene.

Script: on this panel you can assign a script to the selected objects and add interactivity to the animation. For example, you can tell Kinemac to run another animation when the user clicks on a given object or hits a given key. You can tell Kinemac to quit or to go to a given frame. You can tell Safari to go to a given URL...

Sprites Library: on this panel you can save animated sprites to a library then reuse them in other projects. Simply drag your sprites from the Sprites hierarchical list to the Sprite Library panel to save that sprite. Drag the sprite from the library to the Stage or the Sprites panel to reuse that sprite in the current animation.

File Browser: on this panel you can browse your images, movies, text and any other file format Kinemac can import. Drag the selected files onto the Stage to import them into your animation.
