Bezier
Open/Select the Bezier window selecting the menu item Window:Bezier or pressing the keys Command-3 or double clicking on a sprite on the Sprites window. On the Bezier window you can carefully control any parameter of the selected object on the Stage, such as translations, rotations, resizing, fading, speed, acceleration and deceleration. The horizontal axis represents the time of the animation, while the vertical axis represents the values of each parameter described by the curve. For example, on the picture here below, the red curve represents the values of the X positions along the time of the selected object. At the frame 200 (see the white selected point on the red curve), the value of the position X is -88 (look at the Position X field on the left split view). This means that at the frame 200 the center of that object stands on the coordinate X -88. Then later on, at the frame 400, it will move to the X coordinate 108. |

You can show/hide the curves on the Bezier window simply pressing the following keys:
Furthermore you can show-hide a curve clicking on the check-boxes on the left split view (see the first picture here above). If you click on a deactivated check-box holding down the Alt key, you will deactivate all the curves but the one you have clicked on. You can modify the color of each curve. Kinemac will store your custom colors in the preferences file. If you don’t need to play with the left split view you can close it dragging the vertical separator to the left side. |

You can zoom the Bezier view in several ways and manage the key frame points with more accuracy.

Modify a keyFrame | |
Moving the key frame point above will move the cube on the Stage and vice versa
|
On the Bezier window, firstly click on a curve you want to modify, e.g. the magenta curve representing the rotations along the Y axis. Then click on an blue point and drag it vertically to a new position (hold down the Shift key to constrain the drag along one direction only - hold down the Command key to snap the point to a grid of 10 x 10 points). If the playback time marker is positioned in a range of the curve where your change has acted, you will see the object on the Stage window moving according with your change, as shown by the Cube on the animation here below. |
Acceleration/Deceleration | |
Hold down Alt key and drag a control point (green or orange) to move both the control points

To change acceleration and deceleration you have to act on the Control points (green and orange points). Hold down the Alt key and drag a control point to move the two Control points together. |
Hold down Control key and drag a control point (green or orange) to split the beam

Hold down the Control key and drag a Control point to split the control line in two different lines as shown here below. |
Hold down Control key and click on an end point (white or blue) to change the Corner Style

If you want to change a key frame point from Round Style (with control points, so with acceleration/deceleration) to Corner style (without control points, so without acceleration/deceleration), click on the blue point holding down the Control key and select the No Handles menu item. |
Insert a key frame | |
Hold down the Command key and click on a curve to create a new key frame point

Click on a curve holding down the Command key to insert a new key frame. Also you can insert a new key frame clicking on the key frame buttons on the left split view of the Bezier window. To deselect a curve simply click on an empty zone of the Bezier view. |
