Simply copy the Kinemac folder within the /Applications folder as shown by the picture here below. Then open the Kinemac folder and double click on the application file Kinemac.

Authorize your computer

The demo version that you can freely download from our web site has the following limitations: it displays a white grid and a logo over the Stage window and it doesn't let you save the animations. To unlock these limitations you should purchase a license at our web store. After you have purchased a license we’ll email you a small file named RegistrationFile.txt.

  1. Put the file RegistrationFile.txt within the folder containing the Kinemac application, like shown by the picture here aside. Don't open nor modify nor rename this file. It contains encrypted data.

  1. Be sure your machine can run applications from any developer (not only registered developers). If you run on macOS Sierra please consult this article on “How to Disable Gatekeeper and Allow Apps From Anywhere in macOS Sierra”.

  1. Be sure your computer is connected to the internet then launch the Kinemac application. At the first launch your computer will be automatically authorized to run Kinemac as registered. The demo application will turn into a full working application and will run without limitations. After the first launch you don't longer need to be connected to the internet to launch and run Kinemac as registered.

If Kinemac doesn't run as registered, please check these solutions.

If you purchased a multi user license, you can copy the whole Kinemac folder (including the Kinemac application and the RegistrationFile.txt) to your computers and authorize the license on those computers. When authorized, Kinemac will tell you how many additional activations you can still make. Remember to deauthorize your machine before you sell it or give it away. See next chapter here below.

Please install Kinemac application just once on your boot disk. If you install more than one copy, when double clicking on a Kinemac document, the Finder could launch an unregistered copy located elsewhere and probably unregistered.

Deauthorize your computer

If you need to move your license to a different computer, or if you are going to sell your computer or to give it away, you should firstly deauthorize the computer where Kinemac is running on as registered. To deauthorize your computer, make sure it is connected to the internet, then:

  1. Launch Kinemac and select the Kinemac:Deauthorize Computer menu item. Hold for a couple of seconds until Kinemac tells you that your machine has been properly deauthorized. Then your copy will run as demo, with a white grid and the Kinemac logo on the Stage Window.

  2. Quit Kinemac and don't relaunch it again on this machine otherwise you will authorize it again. If you need to run Kinemac as demo on this machine or if you are going to sell this machine, remove the RegistrationFile.txt from this machine.

  3. If you need to authorize a different machine, move (or copy) the Kinemac folder (which includes the application Kinemac and the RegistrationFile.txt) to the second computer and launch the Kinemac application there. If the second machine is connected to the internet, it will be automatically authorized at the first launch.

If you need to work on 2 or more machines but you have one only license, you can quite copy the Kinemac folder (including the Kinemac application and the RegistrationFile.txt) to both your machines. Then launch Kinemac on the machine A, deauthorize it and quit. Then launch Kinemac on the machine B and it will be automatically authorized. You can do that at any time, without limitations.

If you lose your license

If you lose your RegistrationFile.txt, no panic. Simply contact us providing us your name, surname and email you used to register the product. We will quickly email you with a copy of your RegistrationFile.txt. If you remember it, please include in the email the serial number of your Kinemac license or any other data that can help us to identify your record. The serial number of the license is available on the About window when the application is registered.
